SINGAPORE – Motorists can expect the Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) rates at four locations to increase by $1 on Jan 2, said the Land Transport Authority (LTA) on Nov 17.
These are the affected locations:
On the AYE after North Buona Vista towards Tuas, motorists will pay $1 between 5pm and 5.30pm.
On the northbound CTE before PIE, motorists will pay $1 between 5.30pm and 7pm.
On the KPE (ECP) after Defu Flyover, motorists will pay $5 between 8am and 8.30am.
At the two gantries on the PIE (Kallang Bahru and the slip road into Bendemeer), motorists will pay $1 between 7.30am and 8.30am, and between 9.30am and 10am. The ERP rate will be $2 from 9am to 9.30am.
LTA said it had monitored traffic conditions in October, and traffic was found to have built up at various stretches on several expressways. The increase in rates is to manage congestion at these locations.
In addition, ERP rates at six locations will be temporarily reduced during the year-end school holiday period from Nov 24 to Dec 31.
The rates will return to their current ERP rates from Jan 2.
These are the affected locations:
At the three gantries on the AYE after Jurong Town Hall towards the city, motorists will pay $3 between 7.30am and 8am and $2 between 5.30pm and 6pm.
At the four gantries on the southbound CTE after Braddell Road and the PIE slip road into southbound CTE, motorists will pay $1 between 7.30am and 8am, $3 between 8am and 8.30am, and $2 between 9.30am and 10am.
At the two gantries on the PIE (Adam and Mount Pleasant), motorists will pay $1 between 7.30am and 8am.
On the westbound PIE before Eunos Link, motorists will not have to pay an ERP fare between 7.30am and 8.30am.
On the KPE (ECP) after Defu Flyover, motorists will not have to pay the ERP fare from 7am to 7.30am. Between 7.30am and 8am, motorists will have to pay $2.
On the southbound CTE auxiliary lane to PIE (Changi)/Serangoon Road, motorists will pay $1 between 7.30am and 8am, $2 between 8am and 8.30am, $4 between 8.30am and 9am, and $3 between 9am and 9.30am.
LTA added that it will continue to monitor traffic speeds and congestion levels closely and assess if ERP rates need to be further adjusted.
