The number of dengue cases so far this year - 3,052 - is more than triple the number in the same period last year. There were 194 cases reported last week, and 139 between Sunday and 3pm on Wednesday. The infection has killed three people so far this year.

The number of dengue infections has crossed the 3,000 mark this year after rising for six consecutive weeks. By the end of this month, the number of infections will likely top last year's total of 3,285.
