SINGAPORE - Despite the haze situation in Singapore, business is as usual for some especially those who are protecting the country's interests.

The haze has brought on low visibility on Tuesday (Sept 15) for the men and women of the Republic of Singapore Navy.

The Navy posted a photo on Facebook of the crew wearing masks while working on the top deck of a patrol vessel.

The post read : "Visibility out at sea is less than 0.5 mile."

"Despite the haze, our patrol vessels are still out there patrolling our busy waters, ensuring the maritime security for Singapore. For this is their duty, regardless of the circumstances. And now this 24/7 task is made all the more challenging in this condition and they have to be extra vigilant. Stay safe and thank you. We are proud of you, brave men and women of our Navy."
