'Habitat cells' in Ulu Pandan waterway boost biodiversity
Islets help channel water flow into smaller and shallower streams to encourage more plant and animal life to bloom

Residents taking their evening stroll along the Ulu Pandan waterway may soon be able to spot more wildlife such as otters, grey herons, frogs and insects, thanks to a series of "islands" blooming with greenery within the canal.
These islets, or "habitat cells", help to channel the water flow into smaller and shallower streams to encourage more plant and animal life to bloom.
