The inky black sea glowed with every stroke that marine microbiologist Rebecca Case made in the waters off Changi Beach last Thursday night.
Her silhouette shimmered with a blue glow even from afar - evidence of the blooming microbial life that had over the previous few days provided a light show that drew throngs of people to the beaches in eastern Singapore.
