SINGAPORE - An international declaration to conserve forests that Singapore signed last November does not put a stop to all forms of development, Minister for National Development Desmond Lee has said.
Instead, the Glasgow Leaders' Declaration on Forests and Land Use calls on countries to approach development sensitively - a goal closely aligned with the Republic's approach to sustainable development and becoming a City in Nature, he added.
