These eight-month-old mud crabs are being grown in individual vertical cages at the Aquaculture Research Facility within the Centre for Aquaculture and Veterinary Science at Temasek Polytechnic.

The crustaceans are being reared in a clean and sustainable manner so that Singaporeans can continue to enjoy their favourite crab dishes, despite the animals' dwindling populations in the wild.
