As tourists from Germany fly here under a quarantine-free scheme, with the first ones having touched down last Wednesday, Singapore is also preparing to welcome another influx of "travellers" - migratory birds.
When the Northern Hemisphere starts to cool, birds from as far north as the Arctic Circle start venturing south, and the early comers are expected to arrive this month.
