Christmas is the time to catch up with friends and loved ones, and subscribers of The Straits Times have a chance to grab a meal and receive a special gift too.

BRDL (01-01, 351 On Braddell) is a bar and restaurant that serves contemporary dishes with Asian nuances. And for Christmas, they offer festive menus that reflect their cooking philosophy.

For dinner, it is a seven-course meal ($128 per couple) with highlights such as Santa's Birdie, a lavender and rosemary turkey roulade with bacon and sausage stuffing; and Krampus' Rack, a lemon verbena and hazelnut crusted roasted rack of lamb served with roselle and raspberry puree.

Lunch is either a two-course ($32) or three-course ($38) meal, with dishes such as Gringe's Leftover (tarragon pesto risotto with apple puree and caramelised blue cheese) and Santa Rina cake (lychee and strawberry sponge cake with lychee curd and strawberry jelly).

For ST subscribers, the first 100 to order the Christmas set meal will receive a 500mg bottle of Mees Beech Forest Dew Honey from New Zealand, worth $39.

Each dine-in couple or group is entitled to one bottle of the honey, while stocks last.

Festive menus to light up your Christmas

Hinode Izakaya & Bar (14 Hamilton Road, Tel: 6293-3018) serves Japanese dishes ranging from sashimi to skewers. It also serves an extensive array of sake, beer and wine.

And this Christmas, the restaurant is offering two festive menus just for ST subscribers. These are available till Dec 31.

The $88 menu is good for two, with items such as smoked duck salad and unagi rice.

The $128 menu, also for two, includes sparkling wine, bara sashimi salad and wagyu sirloin.

You will have to quote ST Rewards when you make your reservation.
