SINGAPORE - The Institute of Technical Education (ITE) College East is investigating an incident where several students were seen fighting in a video that went viral on social media.
The video, which was posted on Facebook on Thursday night (Jan 25), shows a large crowd of students in uniform gathered by the side of a road as vehicles drive by.
Several of them were seen punching and kicking one another.
The video has since garnered close to 80,000 views and nearly 3,000 shares.
The incident took place outside the college at 10 Simei Avenue recently, ITE College East principal Yek Tiew Ming told The Straits Times on Friday.
"We take a serious view of the matter and do not condone such behaviour," he said.
Dr Yek added that the college is investigating the incident and will take appropriate action against any students found violating college rules.
