SINGAPORE - A 32-year-old man was taken to hospital after the car he was driving hit a lamp post in Orchard Road in the early hours of Aug 9.
The police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the accident in Orchard Road towards Bras Basah Road at about 1.45am on Aug 9.

A TikTok video posted by user kp0ds shows a yellow car resting diagonally on the road near a lamp post. A segment of the lamp post’s external covering can also be seen on the extreme right lane of the road near the Orchard Rendezvous Hotel.
At least two police motorcycles and an SCDF ambulance can be seen in the video, with onlookers standing near the car.
In the video, the car’s front left tyre looks damaged and deflated. The front left door is also damaged and dented. The front part of the car’s chassis appears to be in contact with the road.
Debris can be seen scattered near the vehicle.
Police said the car is believed to have skidded and added that the driver is assisting with ongoing investigations.
