SINGAPORE – The police are looking for the driver of a vehicle that crashed into a centre road divider along Bedok Reservoir Road in the early hours of Nov 9.
The driver fled the scene after the accident and before the police arrived. Officers later found three knives, two e-vaporisers and drug-related paraphernalia in the car, the police said in response to queries by The Straits Times.
The police said they were alerted to the incident at about 1.55am on Nov 9.
The vehicle involved in the accident belonged to GetGo, a local car-sharing company which allows Singapore drivers to rent cars by the hour.
In a video screenshot published by the Shin Min Daily News, the car is seen with a severely damaged bonnet and a cracked windshield.
It appears to have been driven right through the divider, which is wedged into the front of the car.
A tar-coloured liquid appears to have leaked from the front of the car onto the road.
Bits of debris from the accident are strewn around the vehicle, including glass shards.
The suspected drug offences have been referred to the Central Narcotics Bureau, and the vape offence has been referred to the Health Sciences Authority.
Police investigations are ongoing, and efforts to chase the car driver are under way, the police added.
