SINGAPORE - A 37-year-old man is assisting with police investigations following an accident involving two cars in Orchard Road on the evening of Aug 1.
The police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force said they were alerted to the accident at about 8.40pm on Aug 1.
A 54-year-old female passenger was conscious when taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, they added.
Images posted online show what looks like a hatchback positioned against the flow of traffic outside Paragon Shopping Centre, with the left side of its headlights and front bumper badly damaged.
Another car several metres ahead with part of its rear bumper dislodged can be seen.
A caption for the images on Facebook page SGRV Front Man notes that the left two lanes of the road were closed following the accident.
Police investigations are ongoing.
