Discarded disposables enough to fill 400 Olympic-sized pools

Eateries say that while a handful of people have brought their own containers when buying food in recent months, most do not.

Last year, about 200,000 tonnes of disposables, including carrier bags and takeaway containers, were thrown away here, said the National Environment Agency.
These were enough to fill up 400 Olympic-sized swimming pools.
