Why politics?

I see politics as an extension of what I'm doing at the grassroots level and with my own organisation. I believe politics is a step-up where I can finally implement changes I would like to see happen for young people.

Why you?

I've been active at the grassroots level as vice-chairman of the Youth Executive Committee at Cairnhill Community Centre, and I understand issues relating to young people because I work a lot with them.

What issues will you focus on?

I'd like to champion the aspirations of the youth in Singapore, and how they can achieve them. As someone who has mentored youths who are at-risk, I've learnt over the years that some of them do not receive equal opportunities.

Favourite spot in Singapore?

Kampong Glam cafe. There is a small stall that sells the best teh tarik in Singapore.
