Daughter of retired cabby who died after Ikea Alexandra taxi accident appeals to MP to boost road safety

SINGAPORE - The daughter of a 77-year-old retired cabby, who died after an accident involving a taxi at a road near Ikea Alexandra, has appealed to an MP for help to add more safety features there to prevent future accidents.

The MP, Ms Joan Pereira, said that she has spoken to the Land Transport Authority (LTA) on the suggestion, adding that the authority is "looking into the safety improvements to be put in place".
