When the elite eight-man team from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) arrived at the accident scene, there was sand all over the road.
This was the cargo of a tipper truck that had landed on its side after crashing into a centre divider on the East Coast Parkway after the Tanah Merah Coast Road exit last Thursday afternoon.
