SINGAPORE- A 19-year-old man will appear in court on Wednesday for alleged involvement in the theft of a motorcycle from an open space carpark.

On the morning of Sept 26, a motorcycle was reported stolen from a carpark at Boon Lay Avenue.

Officers from the Jurong Division established the suspect's identity and arrested him two days later at Ho Ching Rd. Police have also recovered the stolen motorcycle.

Police, in their statement, also reminded motorcycle owners to park their vehicles in well-lit areas; remove the ignition key and lock the vehicle whenever it is left unattended. They also recommended the use of additional security devices such as disc brake locks and anti-theft alarms.
