SINGAPORE - When lawyer Edmund Wong learnt of his five-year suspension through text messages, what crossed his mind was both relief - at not being disbarred - and perhaps more so, remorse for subjecting a molestation victim to an offensive and embarrassing line of questioning.
The 60-year-old told The Straits Times he had expected the worst and was "very grateful" to the Court of Three Judges, which had considered whether he was fit to practise law.
