SINGAPORE - A 25-year-old man suspected of snatching a woman's handbag has been arrested.
The snatch theft happened at the junction of Petain Road and Sturdee Road last Thursday (June 30), police said in a statement on Friday (July 8).
A 36-year-old woman reported at 1.03am on June 30 that an unknown man had snatched her handbag and fled.
The suspect was later arrested along Dover Road a week later.
Those found guilty of snatch theft can be jailed between one year and seven years. They may also be caned.
