SINGAPORE - A man was charged on Sept 15 over his alleged possession of a vape cartridge containing methamphetamine.

Lim Heong Sheng, 47, is also accused of having a vape cartridge containing a synthetic cannabinoid.

He now faces a total of eight charges, most of which are drug-related.

Court documents stated that the Singaporean allegedly consumed methamphetamine on or before Jan 16.

Lim was at a carpark in Jurong West Street 65 shortly before 10.20am that day when he allegedly committed the vaping-related offences.

At around the same time, he allegedly trafficked 12 packets of a crystalline substance that contained at least 23.41g of methamphetamine.

Lim is also accused of possessing nearly 8g of ketamine, at least 1.21g of cannabis, and drug paraphernalia that day.

His pre-trial conference will take place on Sept 17.

If convicted of trafficking methamphetamine, he can be jailed for between five and 20 years, and receive between five and 15 strokes of the cane.

For each count of being in possession of a drug-laced vape cartridge, an offender can be jailed for up to 10 years and fined up to $20,000.
