SINGAPORE - A 70-year-old man was charged in court on Wednesday (June 29) with murdering his flatmate at a unit in Bendemeer Road earlier this week.
No plea was taken from Tan Kim Hock.
He is accused of causing the death of Mr Fan Fook Heng, 62, at a seventh-floor unit at Block 31 Bendemeer Road between 11.30pm on June 27 and 12.28am the next day.
Mr Fan died earlier on Wednesday.
The prosecution successfully applied for Tan to be remanded at Central police division for a week for investigation.
The case will be mentioned on July 5.
If convicted of murder, Tan faces the death penalty.
