Muhammad Aiman Mohamed Rupie, 21, allegedly slashed the 25-year-old victim at around 10.30pm on Dec 22.
Court documents do not state the reasons behind the alleged attack.
But in a Facebook post on Dec 23, netizen Daniel Redha recounted how his younger brother, a GrabFood delivery rider, was attacked the night before in Marsiling following a dispute with a customer.
According to Mr Daniel, the argument was over a payment-related matter.

His case will be mentioned again in court on Jan 14, 2025.
If convicted of voluntarily causing hurt with a weapon, he can be jailed for up to seven years, fined, caned or receive any combination of such punishments.
