Man arrested for suspected drink driving after knocking into road sign

SINGAPORE - A man was arrested for suspected drink driving on June 29 (Friday).

The police said that they were alerted to an accident along Mandai Road, towards Mandai Avenue, at 10.43pm.

A 46-year-old van driver was arrested on the same day for suspected drink driving.

In a video uploaded to Facebook page Singapore roads accident.com, a van is seen entering Mandai Road from the Bukit Timah Expressway.

The van mounts the kerb next to the leftmost lane, before crashing into a road sign and almost tipping over.

It then reverses clumsily before speeding off, leaving a plume of smoke in its wake.

Police investigations are ongoing.
