A district judge has rejected a bid by the Central Provident Fund (CPF) Board to order Jurong Country Club (JCC) to pay nearly $417,000 in alleged CPF arrears over 85 months for a gym instructor who was held to be an employee of the club.
District Judge Jasbendar Kaur held the board's application to recover the sum for the entire 85 months was inappropriate as the case involved four charges covering four months and the remaining 81 months were not the subject matter of the conviction.
