SINGAPORE - Parents need to change their mindset and realise that bad things can happen at home, said a woman whose husband was jailed for 28 years last month for sexually assaulting their child over more than seven years.

She said people always assume such things happen only in dysfunctional families until they take place "under your nose without any special sign".
