A mother hopes for answers in her 7-year-old child's murder case from 1995

There is a pink tin box that Madam Ang Goon Lay keeps in a drawer by her bed. In the box is all that Madam Ang has left of her daughter Shiow Rong who was seven when she was raped and strangled in 1995.

SINGAPORE - In life, Lim Shiow Rong would jump in bed with her parents when she was scared, often needing her parent's reassuring presence to fall asleep.

More than two decades have passed since the seven-year-old was sexually assaulted and killed but her mother, Madam Ang Goon Lay, still has Shiow Rong close to her when she goes to sleep.
