48-year-old man arrested for case of outrage of modesty on MRT

SINGAPORE - On Monday (July 3), a 48-year-old man was arrested for his alleged involvement in an outrage of modesty case.

The victim, a 32-year-old woman, told police at 10.08am that she was molested by the man on board the MRT, while travelling from Tiong Bahru towards Outram Park.

The man was subsequently arrested at the Outram Park MRT station, according to a police statement.

If convicted for the offence of outrage of modesty, the suspect could face jail time of up to two years, or he could be fined. He could also be caned.
