SINGAPORE - In early May, Ms Tan Weizhen and her four relatives booked tickets and accommodation for their trip to New Zealand from Dec 15 to 24 this year on travel platform Expedia.

The 40-year-old communications professional is heading there with her sister, brother-in-law, as well as the couple's two children aged 15 and 17.
