Construction firms boost hiring, wages as industry recovers

Construction companies here are ramping up their hiring and bumping up salaries, as the sector recovers from its worst-hit days at the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Industry players say general workers, or those who do not have specialised skills, can expect to earn around $23 a day, up from $18 a day pre-pandemic.
