Have you ever caught yourself thinking “I’m too old for that”? You are not alone, but a captivating new photo exhibition is proving that age is just a state of mind.
Part of the Break the Silver Ceiling movement launched by the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC), the exhibition showcases Singaporeans from age 60 who are redefining what it means to grow older.
These individuals embody the idea that age is no barrier to pursuing one’s dreams.
The powerful photos were captured by local photographers Aik Beng Chia, Amiera Raushan, Mindy Tan and Zantz Han, who found themselves deeply inspired by their subjects’ zest for life.
While their work forms the majority of the exhibition, it also features select photos from other contributors. “These seniors don’t just redefine what it means to age well today, they are living it. When I grow up, I want to be like them,” says Ms Raushan, 30.
