No Marina Bay fireworks

There will be no fireworks or public event at Marina Bay on New Year's Eve this year. This is to prevent large crowds from gathering amid the pandemic, the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) said yesterday.
But the public can still ring in the new year with light shows at the bay this month and enjoy fireworks that will be set off from various heartland locations on New Year's Eve. More information on the heartland fireworks will be provided in due course, the URA added.
