SINGAPORE - About 10,000 residents are expected to attend a community art festival in Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park.

The PAssionArts Festival, which is organised by the People's Association (PA), started on Friday (June30), its opening event will last until Sunday (July 2) - and it is expected to draw a crowd of that size in that time.

The festival is the first of over 500 art-related activities organised by the PA that will run until National Day.

On Saturday, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong toured the art exhibits at the festival and even helped decorate some of them. He tried his hand decorating a teepee with ribbons, which was part of an art installation at the festival.

Also at the festival are exhibits including art installations made out of paper, and an art village for children.
