SINGAPORE – A 49-year-old taxi driver and his 44-year-old female passenger were taken conscious to hospital after an accident involving the cab and a car in Serangoon.

A photo posted on Facebook page Beh Chia Lor – Singapore Road of the accident shows a ComfortDelGro taxi with a heavily damaged boot. A black car to the right of the photo appears to have a damaged bumper.

The police told The Straits Times that they were alerted to the accident in Serangoon Road, towards Upper Serangoon Road, at about 11.15pm on March 17.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force was also alerted at the same time, and took the driver and his passenger to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

A 48-year-old male car driver is assisting with ongoing police investigations.

Responding to ST’s queries, a ComfortDelGro spokesperson said that the taxi operator is aware of the accident.

“Both our cabby and the passenger on board sustained injuries and were conveyed to the hospital. We will be providing support to them. We are also assisting the police in their investigations,” said the spokesperson.
