SINGAPORE – Bukit Batok Neighbourhood Police Centre (NPC) and Bukit Panjang NPC will merge to form Bukit Batok NPC on Nov 23, the police said on Oct 31.
The merged centre, which is already under renovation, will reopen in 2026, while Bukit Panjang NPC will be redesigned into a neighbourhood police post (NPP).
The merger is part of the transformation of the police’s front-line operations to better address evolving security challenges and community needs, police said.
The transformation also includes plans to progressively increase the number of police cameras to more than 200,000 islandwide, including in and around the Bukit Batok and Bukit Panjang estates.
The police said there will be no change in police presence and incident response in Bukit Batok and Bukit Panjang estates.
The merger between the two centres will allow for the organisation of larger-scale community policing events, and the merged force will be better resourced to handle crime cases, police said.
While the NPCs are being renovated, residents can lodge a report online for non-emergency cases
For emergencies, residents should call 999.
