Boy injured after accident in Clementi Road

SINGAPORE - A boy was injured after an accident involving a car and a van in Clementi Road on Wednesday morning (July 4).

Police said that they were informed of the accident at 7.15am, and a 10-year-old boy was conscious when taken to National University Hospital in a Singapore Civil Defence Force ambulance.

He was a passenger in the car.

In a video uploaded on Facebook page Cyclists' Message To Drivers, a dark-coloured sedan car is seen stationary in a yellow box, at the junction of Clementi Road and Clementi Avenue 2. The car has a smashed bonnet.

A van is also seen stationary in the left-most lane of Clementi Road, in the direction of Ulu Pandan Road. The van faces oncoming traffic.

Police investigations are ongoing.
