SINGAPORE - Some airlines are extending options such as a full refund and a change of destination to customers whose flights to Kalibo and Caticlan in the Philippines have been affected by the impending closure of Boracay island.
Airlines and travellers were caught off guard after a sudden announcement by Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday night (April 4) that the popular resort island will be closed for six months from April 26 so that its sewage and environment-related problems could be fixed.
