SINGAPORE - A blackout hit 19 HDB blocks in Petir Road, Cashew Road and Pending Road on Tuesday night.

Some blocks were left without electricity for more than an hour.

Singapore Power (SP) said an electricity supply disruption occurred at 10.08pm.

Responding to queries from The Straits Times, SP said: "Our officers were immediately deployed on site, and our priority was to restore supply safely as soon as possible."

Supply was progressively restored from 10.52pm and fully restored by 11.18pm. SP said it is investigating the cause of the incident.
