Security guards at the hotel in Johannesburg, where Singapore Airlines (SIA) crew regularly stay during their layovers, will now be armed with guns.
This comes after two SIA crew members were robbed at gunpoint at the hotel entrance on Tuesday last week. In its wake, an emergency meeting was held between SIA and the Holiday Inn Sandton hotel, The Straits Times understands.
