Abandoned WWII Bunker sees life again

SINGAPORE - Behind a locked gate along Attap Valley Road in Woodlands sits the last of 18 underground storage bunkers built by the British before 1942.

The bunker was part of the British Naval Base Armament Depot which was decommissioned in 2002 and returned to the State.

Footsteps echoed through the abandoned bunker once again recently when the bunker was open to the public for the first time as part of National Heritage Board's Battle for Singapore project.
