The streets of Chinatown turned into a dazzling display of lights last night as 900 lanterns were lit to mark the start of the month-long Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations.
This year's centrepiece is a 12m-tall sculptured lantern featuring mythical moon goddess Chang'e (right), designed by eight students from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and produced by 36 professional craftsmen from Sichuan, China.
