SINGAPORE - About 30 workers showed up at the office of Soon Loong Engineering & Construction in Ubi Avenue on Thursday to claim wages that had not been paid to them since February.
The Straits Times understands that the incident happened at about 2.30pm and the police were called in to help.
The workers were advised to leave and are expected to lodge an official complaint with the Ministry of Manpower soon.
They left later. No one was injured.
A company staff member who declined to be named told The Straits Times the workers were paid late, because the company was a sub-contractor for a project and had not received payment from the main contractor.
