SINGAPORE – Four people were taken to hospital after an accident on the SLE that involved a car, a motorcycle and a taxi, on Nov 26.

The accident happened in the direction towards BKE before the Lentor Avenue exit, with the police alerted at about 1.20pm.

A 70-year-old male taxi driver, a 43-year-old male motorcyclist, a 36-year-old male car passenger and a 17-year-old male taxi passenger were conscious when taken to the Khoo Teck Puat Hospital by the Singapore Civil Defence Force.

In videos of the aftermath of the accident uploaded online, a motorcycle and a car can be seen crashed into a road divider on the rightmost lane of the expressway.

The left rear wheel of the car is dislodged, with debris strewn across three lanes, which have been cordoned off.

Police investigations are ongoing.

Road accidents and fatalities are on the rise, according

to the latest traffic figures

. Traffic accidents resulting in injuries or fatalities rose by 7.4 per cent to 5,765 from January to September, compared with 5,368 in the same period in 2024.

Motorcyclists are still over-represented in traffic accidents as their figures increased by 7.8 per cent to 3,191 in 2025, up from 2,960 in 2024.
