3 people pulled over for having tinted windows end up being arrested for drug-related offences

SINGAPORE - Three people who were pulled over for having tinted windows in Bishan on Monday morning (Jan 22) were later arrested for traffic- and drug-related offences.

The trio were in two cars: A 27-year-old man was in the first car with a 24-year-old woman, while a 30-year-old man was in the second car.

It is unclear how the three people are connected.

They were stopped by a Land Transport Authority officer at a bus stop near Block 254, Bishan Street 22, Lianhe Wanbao reported on Monday.

The pair in the first car were reportedly hostile and did not cooperate, and the police were called to the scene.

The Straits Times understands that drug paraphernalia was found in both vehicles.

The police told ST that they received a call for help at Marymount Road at 7.56am on Monday.
