3 bus passengers taken to hospital after Woodlands accident; duty-unpaid cigarettes found in car

Duty-unpaid cigarettes were found in the car involved in the accident and were referred to the Singapore Customs.

SINGAPORE – Three people were taken to hospital after an accident in Woodlands between a service AC7 cross-border bus and a car, which contained duty-unpaid cigarettes.
The police said they were alerted to the incident at the junction of Woodlands Avenue 9 and Woodlands Industrial Park E4 at 12.55pm on Nov 20.
A photo of the incident showed that the car’s hood was badly dented, while scratches were visible on the right side of the bus near the front headlights.
Three bus passengers, aged between 48 and 78, were taken conscious to Woodlands Health Campus, said the police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force.
Duty-unpaid cigarettes were found in the car and were referred to the Singapore Customs.
In photos of the scene, the car was seen having a Malaysian registration plate.
Police investigations are ongoing.
