SINGAPORE – About 240,000 prayer spaces across up to three sessions at mosques across Singapore will be available for Hari Raya Aidilfitri prayers on March 21.
These will include dedicated spaces for female congregants, the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS) said in a statement on March 13.
Booking is not required, except for Session 1 at Masjid Darul Ghufran, for which congregants can book their places via book.masjids.sg from March 17 at 10am.
An additional 24,000 prayer spaces will be available at up to 49 supplementary venues, which is an increase of almost 30 per cent from 2025, said MUIS.
These supplementary venues will cater to elderly congregants and those with mobility needs, providing convenient access to prayer spaces closer to their homes, said MUIS.
It encouraged congregants with flexibility to opt for the second or third session, or perform their prayers at less crowded mosques.
“This will help ensure all congregants are able to perform their prayers comfortably,” Acting Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs Faishal Ibrahim said.
For the latest details on Hari Raya Aidilfitri prayer arrangements, including Muslimah spaces and khutbah languages, go to go.gov.sg/rayaprayer and go.gov.sg/rayaprayersupp
Congregants can also visit maps.gov.sg/raya-prayer to find convenient prayer venues.
“MUIS seeks the community’s support to remain socially responsible during the blessed occasion,” the council said.
It encouraged congregants to show kindness to mosque staff and volunteers.
Those driving are urged to car-pool and to park considerately to minimise inconvenience to residents.
