SINGAPORE - Eligible Singaporeans will receive letters informing them of their 2015 GST voucher benefits in the first week of July.

The letters sent to 1.6 million Singaporeans will also have information about other benefits such as Medisave top-ups and Service and Conservancy Charges (S&CC) rebates.

In the 2015 Budget, the Government announced a permanent increase of $50 in the annual GST Voucher to help lower-income households with their household expenses.

Eligible Singaporeans will receive up to $300 in GST voucher cash in 2015. About 1.3 million Singaporeans will receive this on Aug 1.

In addition, a Seniors' Bonus will be provided to older Singaporeans and will benefit more than 660,000 older Singaporeans.

Seniors aged 55 to 64 years old can receive up to $300 and those 65 years and above can receive up to $600.

About 400,000 Singaporeans aged 65 years and above will also receive GST voucher-Medisave top-ups of up to $450 on Aug 1.

On top of that, seniors from the Pioneer generation, aged 66 and above in 2015, can receive additional Medisave top-ups of from $200 to $800 annually.

Singaporeans aged 56 and above in 2015, who do not enjoy Pioneer Generation benefits, will receive Medisave top-ups of $100 or $200 annually from 2014 to 2018.

More than 800,000 households will also receive up to $65 in GST voucher U-Save, which is given out quarterly to help offset utilities.

Households also get a one-off S&CC rebate in April, July, and October this year. This July, around 800,000 households will receive the rebate, which offsets half a month to one month of charges, depending on their HDB flat type.
