PM Lee Hsien Loong addresses nation at 4pm, calls for election

SINGAPORE - Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong made a live address to the nation at 4pm on Tuesday (June 23), and announced that he would call the general election now.

In his televised speech, PM Lee said he has decided to do so now, while the Covid-19 situation is relatively stable, to give the new government a fresh five-year mandate.
