The Straits Times understands that the new alliance will be led by Singaporeans First party secretary-general Tan Jee Say, and plans to field about 30 candidates in the election.

SINGAPORE - Four opposition parties are set to form a new alliance to contest the next general election, which has to be held by April 2021.
The Straits Times has learnt that the Singaporeans First party (SingFirst), Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), People's Power Party (PPP) and Reform Party will aim to register the alliance at the end of this month.
