SINGAPORE - The police have issued permits for 15 election rallies on Wednesday (Sept 9).
There will be no lunchtime rally, but all nine political parties have evening rallies scheduled.
The People's Action Party (PAP) will hold six evening rallies for the Jalan Besar GRC, Potong Pasir SMC, MacPherson SMC, East Coast GRC, Bukit Panjang SMC and Marsiling-Yew Tee GRC. Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong is expected to speak at the Jalan Besar rally.
The Workers' Party will also hold a rally for East Coast GRC, which is seen as a hot seat in this election.
The Reform Party is holding two evening rallies, while the Singapore Democratic Party, SingFirst, Singapore People's Party, Singapore Democratic Alliance, National Solidarity Party and People's Power Party will also hold rallies.
All evening rallies are from 7pm to 10pm.
This will be the last day of campaigning for the parliamentary hopefuls from the nine political parties, as well as two independent candidates, before Cooling-off Day on Sept 10.
Singapore goes to the polls on Sept 11.
